MADISON, Wis. – Aspiring innovators on campus and in the community are invited to attend the Entrepreneurons lecture series, kicking off on Thursday, September 12, at the Discovery Building on the UW-Madison campus (330 N. Orchard St.).

Beginning at 4 p.m., Michelle Somes-Booher of the Small Business Development Center at UW-Madison and David Ertl of UW-Madison’s Discovery to Product will provide an overview of the business model canvas, a hypothesis-driven planning tool that can help guide innovators from the idea stage all the way through incorporation of a successful company. Next, there will be an introduction to UW-Madison’s new Innovate Network, a collaborative group of campus-based and campus-affiliated member organizations that aim to improve support for aspiring Badger entrepreneurs. The event will conclude with a resource fair and reception for attendees to connect with campus and community resources.

The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) and UW-Madison’s Discovery to Product (D2P) are partnering to co-host four Entrepreneurons lectures this fall. The events are free and open to the community. All events take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Discovery Building. Details for the full series are below.
