Albert Wang is the Head of Game AI Research at Riot Games. His principal areas of research are in multi-agent reinforcement learning under human-level constraints, game theory, (and previously image / video compression / transform coding).
Prior to starting the AI research lab at Riot, Albert was a serial entrepreneur with successful exits to Microsoft and Riot, and was CEO of an enterprise software company building software-as-a-service applications for Fortune 500 companies. He also serves as an advisor to startups as well as to an AI focused venture capital fund.
Albert is a lifelong programmer and gamer, and was formerly a #1 ranked Master’s level player in StarCraft 2. Outside of AI and gaming, he enjoys reading about physics and playing classical piano. Albert holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
