MADISON, Wis. – Several new initiatives recently announced by WARF – including two venture capital funds and a program to bring new pharmaceuticals closer to market – will have powerful implications for UW–Madison and the state.
Managing Director Erik Iverson will reflect on these changes and more at “WARF’s Plans for Advancing Innovation and Entrepreneurship: What it means for campus and Wisconsin” to be held Tue., Oct. 3, at the Discovery Building beginning at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to faculty, staff, students and the public.
The event caps a summer of engagement for Iverson, in which he discussed WARF’s plans to increase spending on UW-affiliated startups and drug discovery. His address will be followed by a conversation with leaders from the local entrepreneurial and venture communities.
Panelists to include:
Rock Mackie, UW–Madison & Association of Campus Entrepreneurs (ACE)
Tom Still, Wisconsin Technology Council
John Neis, Venture Investors
Please register for this event by Friday, September 29.
