SPECTROMETER WITH SELF-REFERENCED CALIBRATION
WARF: P230013US01
Inventors: Scott Sanders
The Invention
A UW-Madison researcher has developed of a compact sensor for measuring the absorption spectra of typical liquids in real time. The solution allows for ATR spectroscopy by providing a baseline measurement. The sensors utilizes the difference in the effective path lengths of the two polarizations to obtain the reference absorption spectrum, effectively getting a baseline from the polarization that has a lower effective path length.
