WARF at 100: Connecting university innovation with industry imagination
It can take years…a decade or more, even…for an idea to get to market. If not properly nurtured, the time between discovery and real-world application can delay a solution to a vital problem and create a competitive disadvantage for those industries that want to deploy that solution.
At the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, “preparing to go to market” is the goal of the WARF Accelerator program, and speed to market is the value we bring. That involves:
- helping translate science into solutions for global impact;
- connecting project teams to industry partners, entrepreneurs or investors;
- and the creation of new startups.
